Manchester United vs Everton – 16:00 – Sky Sports 1HD

Manchester United are now looking good to reclaim the Premier League title from Manchester City; they are nine points clear of the noisy neighbours and the odds for the title are now around 2/13 with most bookies.  There are still plenty of games to go this season though and Alex Ferguson and his team will have to keep their heads in every game from now on to be sure of the Premier League win and a game against Everton is always a tough affair.

Manchester United are immensely strong at home; 33 points from a possible 36 is a superb platform on robin van persiewhich to build a title campaign and they average 2.7 goals per game at Old Trafford.  Nine wins on the road is also impressive and 28 goals scored on their travels is by far the best in the league.

Robin van Persie has been the difference for United this season and his 18 goals in the league make him the Premier League’s top scorer.  He’s showing no signs of losing his scoring touch and it looks like only an injury will slow him down.  Wayne Rooney (10) and Javier Hernandez (8) have also weighed in with a few goals.  If there’s a negative it must be the less-than-watertight defence which has leaked 31 goals so far – that’s more than every other top 8 club except Liverpool.  Things have improved though and United haven’t conceded more than one goal in a league match since Boxing Day.

Everton are grimly hanging on in fifth place but a Champions League place looks a tall order;  Arsenal are just one point behind and this is a stage of the season when David Moyes relatively small squad tends to feel the pressure.  Still, the Toffees have lost just once in fifteen games and have retained the services of the talented Marouane Fellaini with the closure of the transfer window.  Fellaini is the top scorer with 11 goals but Everton only manage an average of 1.5 goals away from home.

Manchester United vs Everton Betting Tips

There looks to be only one winner of this fixture;  United are 8/13 for the win but they may well have to score more than one goal to win.  This means +2.5 goals @ 13/20 is a sensible bet, as is both teams to score @ 4/6.
